If you want a remix or to have me on a compilation - please give several months notice - it can sometimes take a lot of time to produce something I'm satisfied with - the more time I'm given the better! RRF started as a powernoise industrial project focusing on dystopian, cyberpunk themes, that gradually grew to incorporate elements of breakcore, psycore, speedcore, and song structuring reminiscent of experimental/technical metal into its sound. Rather than being a simple hybrid, RRF dismantles design elements from known underground music genres and restructures them in a new framework. The result is many recognizeable sounds arranged in an alien, confounding way. RRF's goal is pattern recognition and praxis. Thematically moving from more generalized dystopic ideas to far-closer-to-home political praxis and theory, with particular emphasis on critique of current systems was RRF's coming of age. By its very nature it encourages the listener to connect auditory dots and piece together what is happening in their ears and in the world. After 7 releases on several netlabels spanning close to a decade, RRF moved away entirely from traditional track-and-record formatting and is now produced 100% as a live, improvised project, with the purpose of developing massive, fractal vortexes of cross-rhythmic structures and a network of patterns that are inexorably linked. Much of RRFs output is a human-built network of sonic automation, with integral sequences routed specifically to build off eachother and produce fractal descendants of identical patterns, which themselves may alter separate patterns - The sonic goal being to precisely synchronize chaos. This abandoning of commercial structures over which music and art are distributed combined with an already fully-automated/hard-left aesthetic and anti-capitalist/anti-imperialist proletarian samples and subliminal messages is the current state of the project - remember that for so many artists, our art is worth nothing to the current system. We sell our labor so that we may avoid destitution at best, death at worst, to continue creating. RRF is self-aware in this sense. It revels in its own lack of capital and bellows in the face of neo-feudal tyrants, for all art is revolutionary. RRF is "open-source" - that is, its creator will thoroughly provide details as to the construction of works if asked. This is intended in lieu of "licensing" - as far as the latter goes, it is produced under the more strict creative commons variants. However the project is not secretive - ask questions regarding its making, and you'll get thorough answers.
