What’s your personal favourite track on it?
The one that is particularly close to my heart is the Dust Devil track I made last summer with Nowakowski for my own label Room With A View. A dirty tune made in a hip hop spirit in Gothenburg & in Berlin. We made the final mix at Sasse's studio and this is where this dub is born, out of the fun & complicity we had the 3 of us in the moment.
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
The magic ingredient in a mix is always the fact that you compose something with the moment, a unique moment influenced with your mood, your surrounding, your tools...
This one has been recorded on a sunday afternoon in my Berlin home studio, surrounded by tons of vinyls, my 2 loyal Technics turntables & my Urei mixer. One take, no edit including needle jumping. Lot of the music of this mix comes straight from my large vinyl collection. I didn't focus at all on the freshness factor compiling new tracks. It contains only one unreleased track by Nowakowski coming up on RWAV in april. The red line of the mix is also a very dusty & raw component through the whole length.
What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?
The last very memorable one was end of 2012 in Riga in Latvia. A proper underground night made by genuine music lovers inviting true music people.A rare combination these days...
What have you got coming up?
I cooked a very solid release schedule for Room With A View including people like Dave Aju, Iron Galaxy, Axel Boman, Pablo Valentino (remixed by Detroit Swindle), Alland Byallo's album & a very special rare gems vinyl classics I compiled to be released in autumn. Lots dj dates are in the making around that very project in Sweden, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Germany, Latvia, Spain, France, Belgium, South Africa or Netherlands...
And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
For those who didn't know me yet, I hope this will be a nice introduction. No bullshit, no fillers, no tricks. Plain honest music played from the heart.
