Roksana W Roksana Wawrzyniecka London Roksana Wawrzyniecka is a London based composer, pianist and piano teacher. She has two degrees in music – both in Poland and in the UK. Her beloved piano teacher Aleksiej Kosenko (Stanislav Neuhaus assistant in Moscow) deeply impacted her piano perspective. Roksana started her piano journey as concert pianist but soon venture out of classical music world in order to accompany silent movies at film festivals and study jazz piano. Eventually she focused more on composing which led to her creating music for theatre show “Pinter&Crisis” for Cardboard Citizens in London and the “Seagull” for Theatre Technics. She also released her first EP “Transition” containing 5 piano solo tracks. Her next project, the full solo album “Courage” (12 pieces) was acknowledged even before getting published. The BBC used the title track “Courage” for a fascinating three part documentary The human body: Secrets of your life revealed. Chris and Xand van Tulleken uncover the latest secrets of our bodies. Roksana is currently writing another EP “Lamu archipelago” which is inspired by her trip to the Kenyan island Lamu. She is also working on her first rhythmic book to help people around the world tackle piano hands coordination.
