Rodney Rountree Rodney Rountree Waquoit Dr. Rodney Rountree is a Marine Biologist and Fish Ecologist who has worked extensively in areas of fish habitat, estuarine ecology, fish food habits, and fish community structure. In recent years he has become a pioneer in applications of passive acoustics in fisheries ecology. He has recorded fish sounds and the "holo-soundscape" (simultaneous recording of above and below water sounds) in a wide variety of aquatic habitats including the deep sea, coastal marine, estuarine, waters along the east coast of the US from Maine to Florida. He has also recorded sounds in freshwater habitats throughout New England, and in recent trips tot he Amazon River and National Parks of Utah. Dr. Rountree also maintains a popular web page of his research interests as well as children's stories, songs, and theological writings.
