Roboton Munich Finding only absurdity on television, three friends from Munich search for more creativity and truth … they find it in music. They name their musical project „ Plastikfernsehen“ - „ plastic television“. Plastikfernsehen..s sound is full of guitars, often experimental and is strongly influenced by punk. The tracks take form in various jam-sessions on bass, guitar and synth. Plastikfernsehen releases 10 good tracks and wins an astonishing number of fans on the internet. The band also plays two live-gigs in Munich. The year 2007 brings changes for the band. A robot takes over control and demands of the band to concentrate fully on electronic music. „Plastikfernsehen“ gives way for „Roboton“– a slightly different band constellation with a lot of bass and female vocals. Roboton draws its musical inspiration from wave, ebm, electropop and minimal, strongly inspired by artists such a s Kraftwerk, Tommi Stumpff, Charles de Goal and Wumpscut. Roboton is socio-critical, making alienation and privacy protection their main issues.
