I was born into the live music business. On stage with Four Tops, age 10 and Michael Jackson, age 13. (Michael gave me dancing shoes!) At 15, saw Frank Sinatra at the Latin Casino. At 17, I was on Tour with ZZ Top. Saw Elvis at the Spectrum when Bruce Springsteen was in the crowd. In Sept. 1980, my Senior Year at Franklin & Marshall College, I met Springsteen during rehearsals for "The River" Tour. The E Streeters were in Lititz, PA at The Clair Brothers studio. After two, two hour rehearsals in a "big ole barn" with Bruce, I knew I had to start my own band. BaBa Lou Rock Roll Band played metro Philadelphia from '83 to '87. Our album "BaBa Lou At Bob's" was a critical success. Ken Tucker (Philadelphia Inquirer and Entertainment Magazine) gave it four out of four stars. We chartered at college and indy radio stations all over the world. Ken's end of year review for 1986 ranked us third out of five new acts in Philly. Acts #1 and #2...both signed major deals. Acts #4 and #5...also major deals. But not BaBa Lou!? After out of town shows at SUNY Fredonia, U. of Scranton and Catholic U., I thought we were on our way. But unknown to me, one year before our album was released something VERY BAD happened in May 1985. I learned about in when I was building stages for the Paul McCartney World Tour in 1990.
