During this time, Rob Bamboo Cifre established his name playing alongside some of the most respected names in the scene to include, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Frankie Bones and Donald Glaude to name only a few...While most high school freshman were discovering adolescence, Rob discovered his life's work. By 15 Rob landed his first gig further igniting his passion for music. "I'm a control freak, there's nothing better than seeing people moving to your music. I love connecting eye to eye with someone in the crowd that just feels it!" explains Rob when asked about his obvious dedication for DJing, he goes on to say "I know I'm releasing dopamine in the brain when I'm behind the decks, I'm that person's drug at the moment, they are high on me and I on them. It's addictive and it keeps us both coming back for more. Music is a religion." With the rave scene blossoming in early 90's New York and seeing the need for events in Connecticut, 15 year old Rob Bamboo Cifre created his own promotional company, Swing Kids. Swing Kids helped shape the Connecticut rave scene and soon expanded having regular events at some of the hottest locations in New York City such as the legendary Limelight and the ultra exclusive Tunnel as well as hosting events from Maine to Maryland.
