One of the electronic music industry’s fastest-rising stars, Sagiv Alfasi, also known as Rob Laniado, has continuously proven his abilities both in and out of the studio. With multiple stellar hits under his belt and a track record as one of Israel’s most promising DJs, the future is undeniably bright for the star. Having just made his debut on Nicky Romero’s iconic Protocol Recordings label, Rob Laniado is showing no signs of slowing down.
His career began at the age of just 7 years old, when he played the violin for the Rishon Lezion Philharmonic orchestra. Around that time, he discovered electronic music for the first time when a friend introduced him to David Guetta’s music, inspiring Rob Laniado to follow a similar path. It wasn’t long before the musician began performing at small parties, making a name for himself through his energetic live performances. While performing, Rob Laniado was inspired to begin producing his own music for the very first time, at the age of just 13. At first, this was challenging for such a young musician, but with hard work and perseverance, he soon began to improve, developing his skills to become more advanced in the studio over time.
When Rob Laniado received a momentous response to his live performances, he realised that his future was firmly set within the music industry, and before long he had made the decision to build his career around his passion for making music. In 2020, he dropped three incredible original releases, ‘Woodstock’, ‘House is Everything’, and ‘Majnoon’, each of which further cemented his position as one of the most promising future stars in the industry. As well as the aforementioned tracks, Rob Laniado also made his debut on Dutch megastar Nicky Romero’s highly reputed Protocol Recordings label, delivering his own remix of Teamworx’s ‘Can’t Get Enough’. The remix marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Rob Laniado, having secured him a spot on one of the industry’s most iconic labels.
Rob Laniado’s funk-infused house style has labelled him as a pioneering artist in the industry who continually blurs genre boundaries and unites a plethora of inspirations. As well as his releases, he has made a name for himself through Israel’s underground house scene, delivering high-energy experimental sets that combine influences. His relentless live energy has earned him a spot on the lineup of countless events and festivals worldwide.
Starting 2021 in style, Rob Laniado has three releases planned to drop in the earliest months of the year. ‘Disconnected’ is set to release via G-Mafia on 15th January 2021, ‘Love Me’ on Phunk Junk on 25th January 2021 and ‘Get Low Get High’ on Jentex Recording on 19th February 2021. The rising artist plans to continue on his upward trajectory, delivering groovy house anthems that bring a breath of fresh air to the tech house scene. With plenty more music coming up as well as some exciting collaborations in the pipeline, Rob Laniado is definitely a producer to watch over the coming years.
