Rice N Peas is a dynamic production group based out of Los Angeles. It is made up of two members, Michael "Mykeyz" Woods and Kevin White. Each are responsible for adding their own flair and signature to the "Rice N Peas" sound.
Most Recently they have worked with B.O.B. Cody Simpson, Prince Royce, Emblem 3, Trevor Jackson, Kalin and Miles, and many new and up and coming artists.
Rice N Peas, rose to the #1 spot on billboard comedy charts in May 2011 with their Emmy- and Grammy-nominated single “Jack Sparrow,” performed by the comical music group, The Lonely Island. Not only has this song become a hit in America, it is making waves abroad. Besides climbing to #3 on the US Billboard 200 Album chart and being listed on the US Billboard Hot 100, it has charted in several different countries, including Sweden, Norway, Canada, Australia, and the UK. It was ranked #3 for being the Most Globally Watched Video of 2011. To continue their success in 2012 they have been cooking up records with artists such as Jermaine Paul, Winner of The Voice (2nd Season); Grammy award winning R&B singer songwriter Chrisette Michele; Legendary female rap artist Eve; Young Money's rising superstar Torion Sellers; G-Unit's newest rapper Kidd Kidd (featured in Lil Wayne's hit single "Mrs. Officer with Bobby Valentino: and a promising young talent by the name of Trevor Jackson. In addition to artists, Rice N' Peas have been working with some of the industries top writers and producers. Taj Jackson, Autumn Rowe, Martin K (of Stargate), Souldiggaz, and Steve Jordan. Together they are responsible for creating chart topping songs such as "How Can I breathe"- Mario, "Wait for you" -Elliot Yamin, "Hello"- Carmin, and John Mayer's Continuum.
