Rémy Labbé

Rémy Labbé is a Jazz Trumpet Player, Educator, Composer and Arranger.
In 2013 Rémy was awarded the Ray Kotwica Brass Award for outstanding musicianship at Berklee College of Music (Boston). The same year he graduated magna cum laude with a Diploma in Professional in Music from Berklee.
Between Nov 2013 and fall 2014, Rémy lived in NYC and among things created the Rémy Labbé Trio; a Trumpet - Bass - Drums jazz setup delighted to be part of the Gaume Jazz Festival (Belgium) in August 2014.
He came back to Berklee in January 2015 to focus on writing for large ensembles - created the Rémy Labbé Big Band in August 2015 and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Degree in Jazz Composition. Since September 2016 Rémy is doing a master program in Jazz Composition at Manhattan School of Music - studying with Jim McNeely.
Although Rémy is from Belgium he is based in Lausanne(Switzerland)since July 2014, and takes part in multiple projects: the Big Up Big Band (Geneva), the Pedro Martinez-Maestre Quartet, the Alix Logiaco Quintet, etc.
Rémy has studied with Darren Barrett, Ken Cervenka, Laurie Frink, Georges Garzone, Mark Gould, Greg Hopkins, Ayn Inserto, Charlie Lewis, Dick Lowell, Michael Mossman, Jason Palmer, Bob Pilkington, Michael Rodriguez, Dave Santoro, Jeff Stout, Ed Tomasi, Gaston Waltzing, etc.
Rémy has played with Adam Arruda, Mike Bono, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Maurice Brown, Zach Brown, Mario Castro, John Chin, Stacy Dillard, Billy Drewes, Eitan Gofman, Michael Feinberg, Alan Ferber, Lee Fish, Eric Lewis, Carmen Lundy, Clay Lyons, Luke Marrantz, Giorgi Mikadze, Bob Mover, Spencer Murphy, Jason Palmer, Leandro Pellegrino, Tivon Pennicott, Rich Perry, Ralph Peterson Jr, Lenny Pickett, Dave Pietro, Michael Rodriguez, Dayna Stephens, and a bunch of other musicians from the Boston and New York scene.
