New York Born, Detroit raised, and now the world is his playground.

Simply put, Rizzo Da Kydd is on the verge of becoming one of Detroit's biggest
rap stars à la Eminem, Royce Da 5'9, and Big Sean. His electrifying mixtapes
and guest verses grabbed the attention of rappers from all coasts, enabling him
to break out of the local market and take his show on the road. Unfortunately, label shakeups and general inertia, all-too-common occurrences in the record industry, left the aspiring MC's projects on the back burner.
Rizzo is known for his unbridled personality and graphic wordplay; those qualities are reflections of his past. Growing up in East Side, Detroit, Rizzo Da Kydd, aka Dante Carmichael, witnessed many robberies, shoot outs, even people close to him being gunned down. A mentor and father figure who taught him his street smarts and his neighborhood peeps allowed Young Rizzo to see past the negative instead of joining it for the long-haul. He still managed to make it to college but quit shortly after, partly due to financial reasons but mainly to concentrate all his energy into a music career.
In competition to attain a record deal with local camps, he found a home with Konkrete Jungle Ent., founded by him and long time friend/label mate Mickey Blu. Between 2005 and 2006, he rhymed on the remixes for Top Ten hit singles gaining the eye of many managers and radio shows across the nation, also sum in Toronto. However, due to the restructuring of Konkrete Jungle's parent label, BNB (Bad Newz Bears), in 2007, Rizzo had to take his recorded material elsewhere, later dropping "HiberNation". The following year, the split of Konkrete Jungle yet again delayed the release of his first solo album. He moved over strictly to BNB releasing monthly mixtapes, such as L.U.V., The Sex Drive series, Amber Alert, Start To Finish, etc just to name a few... The list continues to increase.
