A Fool Never Learns by Rick Alan Rice published on 2021-08-10T13:59:50Z This Sonny Curtis song was an AM radio hit for Andy Williams, though I think I must have first heard it done by the Wilburn Brothers. They used to have a TV show, back in the era of Porter Wagner, and I associate the song with them. Back when all we had for TV were the three network channels and PBS, these cornball shows out of Nashville would be on in the afternoons, and as a young rocker I hated these shows. Strange though, I have a soft spot for them now. I even feel that way about The Lawrence Welk Show, which must be one of the most surreal productions in human history. It was a head scratcher, back when Lawrence was in first run, who these Living Dead were who loved all Lawrence's bizarre band of players. I get a kick out of watching them now that Grandma isn't around to get upset by my astonished reactions. Anyway, I love "A Fool Never Learns" as I am that fool. This is home studio stuff. I layered three electric guitars to create something approximating a beer fueled country sound, and I sort of like how it turned out. Genre Country
