Irwin published on 2020-06-09T17:37:55Z This a hymn to commemorate St Andrew and his wanderings to the far flung shores of Scotland. The music is a beautiful tune called Bridget O'Malley that was written by the famous blind Irish harper Turlough O'Carolan (1670 - 1738). He also wrote a tune for my so many great grandfather in 1713 called Planxty Irwin. Lyrics by Richard Irwin. Find 100's of hymns to download at https://play.hymnswithoutwords.com. The Lord, he sent me to bring you the good news, To heal and forgive, wherever I roam. I know my Lord Jesus and walk with him daily, Through the fields and the forest, a long way from home. My Lord he’s with me, as I speak of his love; In God’s grace on earth, I’m never alone. So meet my Lord Jesus and walk with him gladly, And bring blessings and peace ever into your home, Our Lord, he’s with us, our friend and redeemer, So smile now and laugh, we’re never alone.
