Rhymos has been building his name steadily for the past few years, beginning his musical journey with a residency at esteemed Southampton nightclub Junk which saw him cut his teeth alongside some of the scenes biggest names, including Seth Troxler, Maya Jane Coles, Damian Lazarus, Art Department, Steve Bug and Anthea at events such as Circo Loco and Cocoon. After earning his stripes Rhymos has continued to build his ever-burgeoning reputation on the dancefloor by taking his sound further afield, with standout gigs at the infamous Watergate in Berlin, Exit Festival, Origami in Tokyo and closer to homeat the UK’s arguably most prestigious nightclub, Fabric.
A firmly established name behind the decks, Rhymos has also been making waves in the studio, as his trademark sounds continue to turn heads and garner the support of the heavyweights, including Rich NxT, who signed Rhymos up to his What NxT label, which has seen previous releases from rising talents such as Mariano Mateljan, Moonlit Vision and David Gtronic, for a forthcoming release. This follows on from releases on Ben Rau’s new META imprint, and a release on ESD which saw dance veteran Steve O’Sullivan on remix duties. Rhymos has also been building his own label, Whistleblower, and with releases from artists such as blm and Aubrey the label continues to grow. The next few months also sees Rhymos launching a new label, Mono Myth Records, as a platform to showcase his own productions, allowing him more control with his release schedule and a more DIY approach to do things his own way.
With forthcoming music also coming in the form of a split EP with Frazer Campbell on WetYourSelf! And recent performances alongside artists such as Lazare Hoche, Rhymos is making all the right moves to ensure 2018 sees him continue to make his name and establish himself in the higher tier of underground dance music.
