Gold Coast Music Song of the Year finalist, Rhea Robertson is an alternative pop singer/songwriter. 2019 saw Rhea head to LA for a month again, writing and recording with Luke Wylde (producer), Sean Kantrowitz (Ruel, Kelly Clarkson), Phil Simmonds (Jessie J MD, Quincy Jones) and more. She also embarked on a ghost writing career, working across many genres including soul, RnB, pop, electronic etc working with songwriting legends.
Rhea has had continual airtime on commercial Australian radio including Triple J, Radio Metro, Kiis, 4zzz, ABC, 102hot tomato and 92.5GoldFM . Last year alone, Rhea independently released 5 singles, with a steady stream of new releases set for 2020 on the way. Currently her Spotify streams have catapulted beyond 400,000, including 1200+ playlist positions worldwide. Currently Rhea has over 143,000 listeners across the globe. With a long collection of media and press coverage, Rhea is definitely an artist to watch out for.
Recent performances have included an independent showcase event at a GC factory space with 300+ attendees, HOTA Young Hearts Run Free spectacular, a sold out show with guitarist Tim Parry at Brisbane Festival and a featured artist at the Commonwealth Games Festival. In 2018 Rhea was a finalist for Song of the Year and Video of the year at the Gold Coast Music Awards. She was also a featured vocalist on the DC movie ‘Aquaman’, singing with Pitbull it Ocean to Ocean which was filmed on the Gold Coast..
Rhea has been pursuing the music scene from a young age, starting out as a pint sized street busker. Landing her first gigs in 2005, Rhea quickly became a regular face in the Gold Coast Music Scene. 2014 saw Rhea complete an 15 stop European music tour, off the back of her first EP release. A performer of many talents, this girl has done it all from playing Disney princesses in Tokyo and Shanghai, performing and writing with world class talent across the globes. Throughout her musical growth, Rhea has continued to be independent.
