Ren Michael Ren Michael Los Angeles, CA WELCOME to the Lab. TheDraftHouse. The open-window workshop. // I'm a writer, actor, singer and poet who makes his home here in Los Angeles, CA. I play the blues, rock n' roll, folk and a little spoken word in the various clubs, pubs and cafés around town, or virtually if I can, especially these days, to help shake off those quarantine blues. I wrote and recorded my debut album traveling across America and Europe, finishing production on it just outside Death Valley National Park. In 2020 I launched my publishing house Quinby & Co. with a few old friends from school. Main influences include filmmakers, Spanish painters (Goya, Picasso, Miró to name a few) the natural world and the many sounds of the city. The songs, to me, are never really done and each of the recordings represent the snapshot of a life in constant motion. For fun I like to hike, walk my dog, make playlists and watch Friends re-runs.
