Ancient Sunlight new mix by renegadesufi published on 2012/07/24 01:18:51 +0000 Ancient Sunlight There's a storm outside The elements rage blue and white Furious wind stings flesh and non-flesh alike with cold effect Small lights and grottoes lonely in this maelstrom. My winged horses fly around jagged cliffs that descend into howling waters and ascend toward a raging moon, Against which winds vindictively smash themselves. My flames burn like a twin serpent that ascends in spiraling columns of light; I struggle to master this power. My darkness houses a world of forms and furious energies that seek balance at any cost. If Allah's mighty power is displayed in the violence of the storm, in the uprooting of the trees, in the smashing of the buildings, and in the making of the mountains light as leaves carried by water; If all this could not awaken you, how could I succeed? I suppose a light kiss on the cheek may have done the trick. But you are still frightened of the storm, aren't you? We all are; and for good reason. That storm was waiting for us since the beginning of time. And while the sky fell, we argued about minutiae and irrelevancies. Ancient sunlight waits like diamonds and pearls, Ancient sunlight threatens to expose our follies; Ancient sunlight offers to shine a path through our self imposed darkness. The storm has not let up, it rages on, Heedless of our human fragility. But it will return to its state of equilibrium. In the mean time, If I forgot myself in the majesty, it is because my self and the majesty became one Indeed, they always were,,, But I forgot!
