He has now been playing music for 9 years, starting at aged 15 in his bedroom at home, to this year hitting Ministry of Sound, London.
Reece James started spinning records on a set of belt drive Numark ION turntables purchased for £150 from his local DJ store, at 15 years old. He quickly progressed on to a set of direct drive Citronic MK2's before making the move over to CDJs.
Quickly realising that CDJs were soon to become a thing of the past, he sold his American Audio Radius 3000's to purchase his first digital controller.
Reece James had made the move across to the digital world of music, and that was where it started.
Since that day Reece James has been playing music to crowds through the Digital Format, using various pieces of software, and controllers on his journey as an entertainer.
Currently, Reece James is using the NI Traktor S4 alongside NI's latest piece of software, Traktor 2.5.
Reece James run's a four deck setup, mixing elements, and sections from different tracks, in order to give it a twist like no other. Dropping vocal samples, instrumental beats, and providing a mashup of musical masterpieces.
Recently, he has played in various nightclubs, in and around London, alongside DJ funky Beats, under thier name "House Beat Heroes".
The House Beat Heroes have played, to name just a few, Ministry of Sound Nightclub, on numerous occasions. Lightbox, Eclipse, Buddha Lounge, Linx and many more.
Recently Reece has started to look into the side of production... and this is where the story is so far.
