Ray van Miles - producer and DJ, originally from Germany, who emigrated to South Africa in February 2023 and lives there since then.
He create electronic music in different styles. Mostly Trance and Progressive.
His love for electronic music was deeply inspired by 90s techno, dance and rave music.
The sound shifted to Trance because of the influences of music-producers and DJ's like DJ Tiësto, Paul Van Dyk, ATB, Paul Oakenfold, Cosmic Gate, Kai Tracid, Nostrum, Nalin & Kane, Above & Beyond and many more.
He created the first tracks in early 2002.
In 2009 he had his first release with Mondo Mondo, under the artist name RVM.
During this period he met Dave Cold and produced some tracks and remixes with him and thanks to his help he was able to get the first releases and some more following releases.
Collaborations with Dave Cold and Traces Traxx followed and I also produced remixes for them.
And around 2009 to 2011 he was played in some online radio shows supported by Suzy Solar, DJ Amitacek, Distant Identity, DjDarq, DJ Lhotse, Maria Mashkova, Fila_DJ etc.
Later he had the opportunity to do remixes for some labels, for example:
Eyereflex Records, RG-Music Records, CandyRush Music, Bluetrance Records, Nile Tunes Recordings, Diverted Music, White Soho and Time Fusion.
In 2011 up to 2017 he changed the artist name again from RVM to R-V-M and released any new tracks at the new label D.MAX Recordings.
For various reasons, he had to change his artist name again in 2017. This time from R-V-M to Ray van Miles.
In 2018 I luckily met people that shared my love for music and helped me to dive deeper in my musical ambition.
In 2019 I have been working on new tracks as Ray van Miles and producing new songs for Cosmic Noise Crew.
In 2021, after a long break, he started again a collaboration with Dave Cold and they produced and released a new track.
Over the full years he has produced music mainly with digital instruments and effects (VST's).
Only sometimes a hardware synthesizer was used.
My musical journey started a long time ago, had many changes, had highs and lows, but it never stopped and keeps going on.
