The Raven Said band has started in 2014 in Ekaterinburg city, Russia, on the border of Europe and Asia. It was some difficult time for the “dark scene” underground music worldwide, but despite that the most interesting and impressive projects were created. The founders of the band - Andrey and Maria are the apologists of 80s Goth music.
Both of them already have composer and live stage experience, they united for creation of old school Goth Rock project. One of the most famous poem of the American romantic writer E. А. Poe inspired the band’s stylish title. The musicians accumulate the energy of Second Wave
Goth Rock and complementing this with elements of Post-Punk and New Wave to form the original modern sound, as result. Something inspirational to own music creation are Rosetta Stone, Nosferatu, Witching Hour, The Cult, Mephisto Walz, Cinema Strange and other bands.
The Raven Said lyrics focus on Occultism, attraction to the world beyond and following into the realm of the unconsciousness themes.
In a short time, Raven Said brought over serious attention - successful shows as leaders in the cities of Russian Federation like Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Voronezh, Ekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Kirov and other took part in different music festivals: Lumous (FIN), The Lost Souls (RU), Boneshaker Fest (RU), Dark Dances (RU), Soundfood Fest (RU). Support gigging with cult artists such Golden Apes (DE), Moon Far Away (RU), Orplid (DE), Doppelganger (RU), Larva (ES) etc. Also have the rotations and interviews on the radio and press.
On January 13, 2017, Raven Said released the EP “Seven Deadly Tapes”, well received both in Russia and abroad. At present, Raven Said band continues to work activity and open to proposals. For now, the band has a hard work on producing the first full-length album.
Broadening the forms of traditional Goth rock, Raven Said is experimenting with new shapes and themes. Indeed, having the artistic charm and authentic visual aesthetics, Raven Said make almost Ritual on every show, confirming the status of Goth Rock Revival.
