Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Best American Poetry 2021, Best New Poets 2021, The New Ohio Review, American Life in Poetry, Verse Daily, and elsewhere. A failed waitress, she has worked as a stable hand, an attorney, and a television producer. She co-founded an organization that provides writing workshops to incarcerated women and men and has taught poetry in Salinas Valley State Prison and the Santa Cruz County jails. She grew up in Kansas, but currently lives in Santa Cruz, California.
