Summer days in the suburbs should be halcyon days... peaceful days... days uninterrupted by the obnoxious din of leaf blowers and other pollutant-spewing landscaping machines. From dawn to dusk, our summer reverie is ruined by people trying to tame and conquer nature with their tools. I say leave the grass alone. Let's see the world unmown. Let's have meadows instead of lawns. Let's make our yards scenes that Albert Bierstadt would have loved to paint!
