Jan Gerdes, who as a pianist has mastered both the classical-romantic and contemporary repertoire, has collaborated with some of the leading composers of our time, such as Karlheinz Stockhausen, Helmut Lachenmann and Wolfgang Rihm, and teaches at the University of Potsdam as well as at the Hanns Eisler Music Colleges in Berlin and Mannheim.
