Dave Owen has carved a path for himself in dance music by combining great drum programing with timeless soul loops and legendary hip-hop samples that often includes slick dnb bootlegs of classic tunes. Building off his reputation for some of the hottest bootlegs in the game, Dave has curated a 9 track free bootleg release by him and fellow producers Calculon and Flaco. Born and raised in California, but having lived in Europe and been heavily into drum n bass for well over a decade, Calculon always knows exactly what the audience wants to hear. As label owner of Rubik Records and an internationally recognized producer, his finger is consistently on the pulse of Electronic Music, having DJed everywhere from Hawaii to Amsterdam. With releases on labels such as Rubik, Fokuz, Human Elements, Beard, Big Riddim, Think Deep, and forthcoming tunes coming out on Loose Squares, Smog, Good Looking and Influenza LTD, his productions, spanning styles from melodic rollers to dancefloor workouts, are impossible to ignore.
Flaco is a drum & bass producer/dj born and raised in Florida, US. Since 1998 he has been writing music on a computer using various programs and learning how to sequence beats and has always appreciated a wide range of music. Flaco was raised listening to a lot of his father’s vinyl. In 2006 he had 3 tracks reviewed in the unsigned artist section of Knowledge Magazine, a drum & bass music magazine from the UK. Then in 2008 he started a radio show with Bassdrive.com a streaming audio site that has djs from all over the world playing 24 hours a day, and has been getting much support from many of the djs that play there as well. He also plays on a local radio station KISS 105.3 every Sunday night on the electronic music show "The Perimeter". The future holds much in store for Flaco with forthcoming music on labels such as Creative Source, Innerground, and Human Elements to name just a few. Be on the lookout for new music solo and collaborative, as Flaco is constantly improving his sounds.
