Citing various reports in the Western media, the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity has revealed that the vehicles were actually supplied by the US. In 2014, Washington sent an aid shipment, which included 43 Toyota trucks, to a Syrian opposition group known as the Free Syrian Army. The UK also offered the Syrian rebels a helping hand, with armored and non-armored vehicles as well as body armor delivered to the so-called moderates. And some of this equipment, the report concludes, has ended up in very wrong hands. Interestingly enough, Washington itself was the one to question the origin of the Toyota trucks.
