Meanwhile, Boko Haram continued its attacks. Seven people were killed and 17 others were injured in a suspected suicide bomb attack at a market in the northeast Nigerian city of Maiduguri on Tuesday. The current Nigerian president has been criticized for failing to defeat Boko haram. Many are skeptical about the security concerns he cited earlier to delay the elections.
