Radio Free Universe George Panagopoulos Hamilton Radio Free Universe sounds like driving forty over the limit along a long winding road. The windows are down, hair is blowing in the wind, and everyone is singing along at the top of their lungs. Their unique brand of modern rock blends soaring vocals with unforgettable melodies, chunky guitars and a pounding rhythm section. They’d fit perfectly on a mixtape alongside Soundgarden, Jack White, Foo Fighters and Queens Of The Stoneage. The ride began in 2010 after a chance meeting between vocalist/songwriter, George Panagopoulas, guitarist, Ryan Davie and drummer, Ashton Norman. Since then, Radio Free Universe has solidified itself as a must-see act by performing regularly across the GTA and developing new fans with every show. The recent addition of bassist, Adam Neumann, adds a new level of intensity to a band that was is already firing on all cylinders. Highlights include performances at Big Music Fest (w/ Slash and Aerosmith), KOI Fest, Locke Street Festival, The HMA’s (twice nominated for 'Recording of the Year’) and Canadian Music Week. Recently the band partnered with The Conviction Group management team and have completed their full length album, Casa Del Diablo, with award winning producer Glen Robinson (VoiVod, GWAR). The first single, a track with a huge sound and anthemic quality, titled Disclosure, is already a fan favourite at live performances, and will surely resonate with anyone who hears it.
