Queer Encounters

Queer Encounters was a multi-media story-gathering project about Queer Kings Cross in the 80s, 90s and 00s - by Elly Clarke. Interviews took place with eleven individuals over a period of 8 months, in places as close to the site of the memories as possible. Traces from these are now public; eight with accompanying audio. An exhibition of prints & text with audio and a film made with Ramón Salgado-Touzón (Central Station to Central Station) was shown at the Everyman Cinema Kings Cross 26th June - 27th July 2018. The exhibition was created in collaboration with graphic designer Frances Yeung (Yikki Design - http://yikki.co.uk/ -) and was supported by Kings Cross General Partnership Limited.
