The World Now Podcast 8. Recorded Live 1 June 2017. Steve and his Guest, Misako Yanage Yoke. Misako is back for her third visit on The World Now! Steve and Misako discuss her interests in birds, stargazing, and how she became a published author! We hear her story about the Horned Lark, singing beautifully high in the Olympic Mountains, and follow her stories from there to Hawaii visiting with an Albatross, a magnificent, free-ranging bird with a huge wingspan, and marvel at her recent story with the Bald Eagle, River Otter, and Fish near her home in the Olympic Mountains.
We find out how she began her dream of being a published author back in 2002, when she was living in Yokohama, Japan, and her journey over the next 8 years to 2010, when she realized her dream of being a published author! We carry our conversation into the Present, into The Decision Zone.
Misako Yanage Yoke is an Avid Birder, Stargazer, Hiker, Published Author, and Tiny Habits Coach.
In Misako’s own words: “Originally, I was just a office worker - secretary. I had a dream to become a published author one day. No education, no connection. It was a pipe dream. One day, a friend introduced me to a published author. He let me use his book as if it was my first book. It was 2002. A photo was taken, which I treasured.
In 2010, I was contacted by an editor through Twitter. I was tweeting the beauty of PNW. She loves nature, we became friends, eventually she brought the perfect book option, I became a published author.
Now I started coaching as Tiny Habits Coaching. I’m a founder of Genki Habits. http://genkihabits.com
Genki means enthusiastic, energetic, full of spirit.
