#Family Matters: Managing the generation gap by Primedia Broadcasting

Managing generation gap can be a challenge any time of year – how to find a way to relate to each
other and respect one another despite sometimes vast differences in age and life experience. I’m
thinking of the young student grandchild today whose world is so vastly different from that of their
grandparent, and how they find common ground and mutual understanding. They live in a very fastpaced, technology driven world, one where values may have changed – and come Christmas youthrow them all into the pot, put the lid on and turn up the heat. Is it surprising that sometimes the pot boils over?
