Dali Tambo interviews Mugabe by Primedia Broadcasting published on 2013-06-03T06:16:56Z Many people have been commenting ahead of and after Dali Tambo's interview with Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe - and whether he should have been a lot more tougher on the statesman. How on God's green Earth is Mugabe an 'Exceptional Achiever'??!!!??? I think Dali is scared that Mugabe's thugs might beat him up should he ask any real questions. Well done Dali (*sarcastic tone*) 2013-06-10T08:16:51Z Comment by Lungandlovu dali tambo 2013-06-07T03:45:25Z Comment by PauloSergioMDC I think a lot of people went into that show thinking it was a political interview -- it was a compelling interview of a personality, an African icon - whatever your opinion of him. You got the jif of where he was coming from with his leadership, which was reasonable, and certainly could have been done in a far more humane way than was the case. Don't think we'll ever see a 3rd Degree or Special Assignment kind of investigative journalism smackdown on that man - ever. Of course, the real question is what was the purpose of the interview? Kieno/702 action here can be compared to going emo on a social media account representing the bank or cellphone network that's done you wrong, which is poor journalism. 2013-06-04T23:34:48Z Comment by Nickie Sibiya Hahaha!!! Dali done put Kieno in his place. Good one 2013-06-04T22:57:43Z Comment by Kapplinn There should be a standard set for journalism in South Africa and all other parts of the world. It is clear that we are dished a load of hogwash by almost every single broadcaster and journalist out there, but i cringe when I listen to the lack of integrity and preparation that went into this 'interview' Kieno you brought shame upon a profession that is already impossible to shame. Rid yourself of all the pretence and search your heart to find out if this is really what you want to do. I hope you are small enough to listen and big enough to accept the challenge. I wish you well. 2013-06-04T20:31:40Z Comment by Thulani Max Mtolo Big ups to Dali 2013-06-04T15:21:56Z Comment by Ned Unknwn What a shallow dude... Thanks for honouring up to yourself. 2013-06-04T11:19:09Z Comment by Ned Unknwn I salute Dali on this. What a great man who knows who he is and what he does. 2013-06-04T11:17:55Z Comment by Ned Unknwn @chofamba-sithole: He will never have enough Ball to even interview him let alone be even considered of enough intellect to have the honour 2013-06-04T11:16:57Z Comment by Ned Unknwn @rendani-k-nevhulaudzi: well said sir, well said 2013-06-04T11:15:37Z Comment by Ned Unknwn @user734717643: (y) 2013-06-04T11:15:07Z Comment by Ned Unknwn @tapiwa-boltcutter-masuka: Well said 2013-06-04T11:14:53Z Comment by Ned Unknwn @djsmr: Well said sir, its not about politics its about a person's life. 2013-06-04T11:14:38Z Comment by Ned Unknwn What you mean gave him a chance, what a D! 2013-06-04T11:10:41Z Comment by Vinyola1 Both Dali and Kieno have big problems-disparate and partisan! 2013-06-04T10:55:12Z Comment by robert southwell Zimbabwe is for Zimbabweans and Mugabe is the sole true representative of Zimbabweans. We will never be bothered by the dogs of imperialism who are bucking for just a few dollars but selling the current and future of their countries 2013-06-04T08:46:23Z Comment by Dumiso Baloyi I would say many South Africans have no clue about what Zimbabweans have suffered for the past three decades. Im sure that even if Dali Tambo interviews the Devil himself most of you will be impressed. One wonders what Tambo was paid to sell his soul to the devil and betray the suffering masses? Probably a blood diamond. True indeed the love of money is the root of all EVIL. 2013-06-04T08:42:38Z Comment by Dumiso Baloyi I would say many South Africans have no clue about what Zimbabweans have suffered for the past three decades. I do suspect some of the more controversial questions were asked, but there was a firm 'suggestion' that they were not placed in the video. 2013-06-04T07:06:59Z Comment by MsHlanze Thank You Dali.... The Kammies of this world need to be put in place.... 2013-06-04T05:56:42Z Comment by TransurLifeAwai Tambo lost his cool here, after being criticized. But he deserves criticism. He was gently sucking up to a Mass Murderer. Let me say it again: Mugabe is a Mass Murderer. People who comment here & praise Mugabe clearly pull a blind eye to the horrific things he has done to his opponents; his own people & his land. One only needs to speak to former Zimbabweans, both black & white, to find out how terrible things have been over there. And its not difficult to find former Zim residents in SA. There's about 2 Million of them. People talk about the 'misleading Western Media' & the lies they spread regarding Mugabe. Bullshit ! His Fifth Brigade massacred 20 000+- people. This is a fact not an opinion. There are various reports testifying to increasing violations of Human Rights under Mugabe & Zanu-PF. This is also a fact. Mugabe also ordered for various Freedom Fighters to be detained & tortured. Lookout Masuku died as a result of incarceration, despite being falsely charged. Tambo maintains that he doesn't get into Politics, but he did exactly that when interviewing Paul Simon, who is not at all affiliated with Politics. He again probed Helen Zille & discussed Politics with her. He picks & chooses as to when the discussion will take a Political turn. If he doesn't want to be political, then why does he interview Politicians ? If he's going to take a chilled approach in his Interviews, then maybe he shouldn't interview the likes of Mugabe. Any interviewer would have done a better job than Tambo. 2013-06-04T00:53:02Z Comment by V_mbai well done Dali..... 2013-06-03T22:36:19Z
