Leeds based DJ and producer Chekov, a.k.a. Laurence Huntington, is an artist we've admired immensely for a couple of years now and he's also become a good friend of ours in that time. Whenever he's played for us he's absolutely smashed it out of the park, so it was only right that we invited him in to join our mix series. With his debut EP on Shanti Celeste's Peach Discs imprint coming out last year and with recent contributions to Timedance 013 alongside rRoxymore and Bruce and also to Lena Willikens' Selectors 005 compilation on Dekmantel, 2018 has already been a huge year for Laurence and we can't wait to see what he's got up his sleeve for us next. Recorded on a sunny day in mid-May with Leeds' grey skies lurking only on the horizon and in just one take (using vinyl and Traktor), this wonky but uplifting two hour mix includes music from the likes of Duckett, Hieroglyphic Being, Cooly G and Ricardo Villallobos.
