Portamento Portamento London/Liverpool NYLO/OPEN BAR MUSIC/DIALTONE RECS./AZUCAR/COLDWAVE.... Portamento is a London based Producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist who makes a blend of Disco, Indie and House music. A regular on the DJ circuit, and a long time producer, Portamento’s use of analogue drum machines and Synths against a backdrop of Groovey disco/tech inspired beats has been described as a combination of ‘Lush reverb soaked vocals, juxtaposed with dirty and at times blip-based House beats, with a foot in Indie as much as electronic music’. Since his first release ‘Neon Lover’ in 2017, Portamento has released a number of singles and remixes. Most recently in 2018 he released ‘Bones’, a hard hitting late night progressive house 4 track E.P with remixes which featured Brahman on vocals and included support from Marco Carola, Richy Ahmed, Be Svendsen and more. Influenced by the Kraut/Psych rock genre as much as disco and House, Portamento has had releases on Open bar music, Dialtone records, Coldwave records and Azucar. Upcoming music includes NYLO records releasing the Night Tales E.P, a collection of 3 late night disco inspired songs, and Open Bar music releasing a 5 track E.P called ‘Mi Casa’, a Balearic influenced Afro/Indie House track with remixes.
