POOF DOOF Poof Doof Melbourne & Sydney November 2011 saw the birth of a new club to Melbourne’s nightlife. Christened Poof Doof it promised nothing but pure, unadulterated, body reverberating doof to all who attended, week after week. It opens its doors to any disco lover with an abandoned desire to dance. It is a destination to get lost, or be found, depending on your heart’s desire. It’s a place where upon podiums, and amidst smoke machines, time is irrelevant, worries are forgotten and friendships are forged through the common language of dance. With a door policy that specifies “strictly no photos” – memories are imprinted only in the minds of those present – where faces are lit by the flicker of a strobe light, not a flash, and where comfort can be found in knowing that nothing untoward awaits you online the next day.
