pmgrecordings PMG Recordings Skopje PMG Recordings is an independent label from Skopje, Macedonia. It is active since 1998. Our work is primarily directed towards recording, releasing and promoting a significant amount of the quality Macedonian contemporary music. We come from a culture, where the people don't really have a tradition of archiving the cultural tendencies, which often leads to spiritual crises. This is particularly apparent in our music culture. For decades we have ignored to document some of the most important music pieces created during those years, which resulted in unbridgeable gaps in our musical and cultural continuity. We think that it is high time to put an end to this trend. Our mission and responsibility is to support and document every valuable cultural artifact and allow a self-sustained continuity, thus creating a spiritual and material bridge towards the next generations. The future is our goal, and our process is the product. PMG Recordings was created as a result of the activities of PMG Collective - probably the most influential avant-garde artistic organization of the last two decades in Macedonia, which was responsible for various social transformations - from drug euphoria to musical revolutions. All the years we have dedicated to our brutal love towards the music, to the endless chain of parties and after-party sessions, combined with our firm musical standings, eventually led towards taking the responsibility and putting our words into action. PMG Recordings does not accept the limitations imposed to the music by its classification into styles. We support all the good music and all the individuals with creative and innovative approach towards the music.
