I assigned the twelve chromatic pitches to twelve of the symbols; the remaining two got pitches from an octave higher. Each of the seven rows of symbols was treated as a measure of music with six eighth notes (one symbol for each eighth note). I created two chord progressions to accompany the melody, and chose viola and piano as the melody and accompaniment instruments, respectively.
