Transmutation Circles by Pi

“Transmutation circles” is the first full length release of the progressive, extreme and experimental metal band Pi. This creation takes its origins in the contemplation of astral phenomenon and their influence on human perceptions and understanding of the world. The pieces of this album have been created with the guidance of numerology and occult sciences and infused with the emotional, physical and spiritual energies of the band’s members.

This work of almost 60 minutes of music delivers: aggressive and massive guitar riffs followed by clean sections and melodic solos inspired by jazz music; expressive, energetic and experimental fretless bass lines using different finger techniques; virtuoso and powerful drums with complex patterns. The concept of this first production is bound by intense and stifling electronic transitions.

“Transmutation Circles” is a record of complex energies at work in the universe and their analogy in our body unveiling the ultimate truth: we are all part of the infinite.
