Ping Sheng Wu 吳 秉 聖 (527N, PSW) Ping Sheng Wu 吳秉聖 TAIPEI, TAIWAN Ping is a Taipei-based artist whose creative process focuses on sound. His practice takes on a variety of forms including music and soundtrack composition across a number of genres, from experimental and ambient to rock and roll, with live performance and sound installation being a primary focus. The field of visual arts has been a long-held concern in his search for how sound expands and extends through the senses. Through observations of sound as a physical property of an environment and as an object of analysis through digital processing, he has continued to re-encounter senses of sound as it is naturally or artificially translated and substituted in various forms of media. 居住於台北的藝術家，主要以聲音為創作思考的中心。聲音作品跨足電子噪音、環境音樂、搖滾、電影配樂，並熱衷於現場演出與聲音裝置。長時間在視覺藝術領域探索聲音在各感官上的拓展與延伸。透過觀察聲音在環境中的物理性，或是以分析經由數位處理的聲響，不斷地重新認識聲音在各種媒介之間自然或人工的轉譯與代換。 작가 소개 핑셍(Ping Sheng)은 소리 예술가이며 타이베이를 기반으로 활동한다. 그는 소리와 관련된 다양한 예술 활동을 하며 소리 설치 작품, 영화음 악 작곡, 소리 실험과 전기음향 라이브 공연 등을 펼쳐 왔다. 그는 음 악 작곡에 필요한 아이디어를 얻기 위해 일상의 소리에 집중하고 그러 한 경험으로부터 얻은 소리의 발전을 탐구한다. 그는 디지털 처리기법 으로 주위 환경의 물리적 소리를 관찰 분석하여, 새로운 미디어에 의 해 자연적 소리와 인공적 소리 사이로 옮겨진 소리의 ‘비전’을 지속적 으로 확장해왔다.
