Hidden Places touches on (re-)definitions of wilderness, identity, ecology, culture and kitsch; it highlights the necessity of myths, looks behind the veil of noise and celebrates the “gradual construction of thoughts while speaking” – the evocation of nature while telling about it. Gabi Schaffner is an interdisciplinary sound artist, curator, writer and photographer. Her works in the field of radio art are broadcast internationally, including commissions for Deutschlandradio, radia.fm, ABC Australia and many more. She lives in Berlin.
