Born and raised in Apulia, South of Italy, on September 16, 1993, Phillip Maizza is no stranger to Dance music.
Growing up listening to artists like Eiffel 65, Gabry Ponte, Danijay and many more shaped his sound towards rich melodies, crispy sounds and powerful drops.
His music career began in the summer of 2008, when Phillip Maizza realized he wanted to contribute to the Dance music world.
Remixes play a fundamental role in Phillip's career, since he started off by participating and winning some remix contests that got him a few releases for Italian producer DJ Power, moving on to official remixes for artists like DJ Cry and Emozioni Libere.
As the years went by, he got attracted to Hands Up, a German music genre similar to Italodance that he used to produce, characterized by harder sounds and more complex melodies.
This genre gave Phillip quite a lot of satisfaction, since he was discovered by the German label RG-Music Records, where he released official remixes for Nigel Hard, Global Defence and Robert G., and his singles “Get Ready!” and “Destiny”.
He also released an official remix of “Blow Ya Mind 2011” by Lock'n'Load on Mental Madness Records, one of the biggest Hands Up labels in Germany.
His sound then shifted towards Electro House, influenced by Complextro artists such as Porter Robinson, Zedd, Skrillex.
He participated to “Fire and Passion” remix contest hosted by DB Pure and got another release on Italian label “Bliss Co.”, home of Eiffel 65.
While Dance music world got invaded by a number of new EDM genres, Phillip Maizza found his new home in Progressive House, the closest genre that reminded him of the music he used to produce.
This time, he started off by releasing his own singles “Prime”, “Festival” and “Banger” on RG-Music Records, then his remix of “Ready for it” by Christina Walls was chosen as Community Pick in their remix contest and finally he released an official remix for Darell Delko, a French producer, together with Steph Seroussi.
Over the years, Phillip locked himself in the studio shaping and improving his sound, releasing singles and bootlegs.
He got a lot of attention with his singles “Torque”, republished on many YouTube channels and supported by Justin Prime, and “Together”, supported on blogs, websites, YouTube channels and from Luca Testa and m2o, an Italian prorucer and the Italian biggest dance music radio respectively.
In 2018, Phillip released remixes and originals that got supported by Fedde Le Grand, Maximals, Sunstars, Pessto, Karim Mika, Notalike, Maximals, FaderX, Djs from Mars, Delayers and many more.
What and where the future will bring him is yet unknown, but his music will definitely lead the way.
