Petra Šuško Petra Šuško (Gavlasová) Prague Petra Šuško (Gavlasová)is composer and recording producer based in Prague (Czech Republic). She studied composition and piano at the Janáček Conservatoire in Ostrava and graduated in composition and music production from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, from the composition class of Milan Slavický (2002). During her studies she held internships in Holland (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, 1999; Utrecht School of Arts – Faculty of Art, Media and Technology, 2002-2003). Her primary focus in composition is on electroacoustic music, chamber music for various combinations of instruments, multi-media projects, radiophonic music, and movie documentaries. In recent years Petra has focused mainly on pedagogical aktivity, and on working as a music producer of audio-visual projects. Petra is also a member of a female composers group "Hudbaby / Musicrones“. Petra’s compositions have been awarded numerous prizes in the “Generation” competition for composers. She has been a finalist in the Czech section of the international competition electroacoustic music, Musica Nova (2019).
