DJ Jimmy Grizzley JG San Diego DJ Jimmy Grizzley aka JG is an East Coast (NYC) technician who began his musical career working at the college campus radio station working in audio production and performing in various venues in the Buffalo NY area. Post college he emerged on the nightclub scene in Long Island NY and established residences at premier nightclubs and lounges. JG answered his west coast calling in moving to California and eventually landed in San Diego, where he still resides today. Bringing an East Coast influence to the San Diego music scene, JG instantly made an impact on the music scene there. Today he is well known in San Diego and throughout Southern California. headlining at all of the Gaslamp District hotspots including Stingaree, Henry's, Altitude and 207 Hard Rock for multiple events including Dennon DJ's debut of their SC5000 Prime series. JG is also found in the Pacific Beach music scene playing regularly at Avenue, Firehouse, 710 and Pueblo. JG is always looking for opportunities to expand his network, perform in different venues and travel. A resident DJ for West Coast Radio, JG performs in events and online streamed shows sharing his style and music with the world. JG was named top mixer by West Coast Radio for 2017. JG has performed live on over 300 occasions in bars, lounges, nightclubs and festivals both big and intimate. In 2018 JG began his own event brand entitled Champagne Sessions (CS). CS caught fire quickly bringing the top local house musical acts together with a day party scene in San Diego. 2020 appeared to be the banner year for JG as he was selected to perform at the SXSW music festival, which was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic. However the musical future today for JG appears brighter today than ever before. JG prides himself on being one of the most diverse DJs in the industry. An aficionado of Hip-Hop, Deep House, Latin, Top 40, Tropical House, Moombahton, Top 40, Electro House, Reggae, Trap and Electro.
