Waltz by Peter Ayscough published on 2013/03/08 07:32:48 +0000 Like a lot of compositions, this merges two ideas I had completely separately. The chord sequence for the bridge was from an idea I had a few months ago, but it was in 4/4 back then. The disturbing thing for me about this song is that there are one or two moments in the bridge where I'm reminded of Huey Lewis and the News *shudders* (I know - I shouldn't have pointed that out). As for the main riff, its so dreamy and mellow, the moment I found it was one of those times you know you have to develop this thing into a song. My favourite part of the piece is the descent from the bridge back into the main riff.
