Penelope Fortier Penelope Fortier Montreal Montreal-based globetrotter and multidisciplinary artist Penelope Fortier has been charming people around the world with her ethereal voice and smile since her teenage years. She has worked with some of the biggest names in fashion such as: Romeo Gigli, Richard Avedon and Ellen von Unwerth and has appeared in countless television commercials such as: World Mastercard, Coca Cola and Revlon. She has also released 2 albums: "Sunday At Noon" and "One Way Ticket To The Sun", with Grammy Award winning producer Sheldon Gomberg in Los Angeles. She is now releasing a new EP, produced by Borza Ghomeshi, under his label Mayk Music, entitled: Je chante Petit-Jean". It is a love letter to her family and a special tribute to her uncle Jean Fortier (1947-1971), former member of the Quebec folk group Les Cailloux and rising star of the Quebec music scene in the 60's and early 70's, who unfortunately passed away at the age of 24. The goal of this deeply intimate project is to bring Jean Fortier's written and musical works to a new generation, in order to keep his legacy alive.
