Pedram Babaiee Pedram Babaiee Born on April 1992, Pedram Babaiee (pronounced: pɛdrɑm bɑbɑɪ; پدرام بابایی) is an Iranian post-classical composer and music producer, distinguished as the bearer of Iranian music legacy in his generation of contemporary classical composers, with a background in composing and producing more than 24 hours of music for performing arts, featured films, etc. from 2011 to 2017. In 2016, co-founded Tehran based art organization/ cultural hub, Rooberoo Mansion and served the first year as head of the Production department there. In 2017, founded his own music production record label, Bivác Records. Pedram Babaiee’s music is usually recognized by its characteristics of form and content, in harmony; Vague texture-based tonal phrases contrasted with straight-forward melodies, unusual time signatures and harmonizing western classical music with his unique touch of Persian traditional music harmonic progressions. He is mostly dedicated to writing for chamber ensembles -trio, quartet, quintet, etc.- and solo instruments. Also Babaiee’s chamber works has been premiered worldwide, more than his orchestral compisitions.
