Saturation Point by peanut_gallery published on 2012/09/18 16:56:30 +0000 This track had been gestating for a long while. It started as one of those ideas where I had 4 measures I liked a lot and then couldn’t figure out what to do next, so it got shelved for months. It caught my ear when I was going through the “revisit old unfinished stuff” list, and with a bunch of new synths and synth sounds, I got the inspiration to move forward. The track started with the bell patch, but in its new life, it very quickly attracted all manner of big buzzy synth sounds, from NanoStudio’s own Eden to Animoog, Sunrizer, Alchemy Mobile and NLog Pro. I may have over-layered some of these, but I did end up liking the resulting effect. The icing on the cake was Beep Street’s new Impaktor, which let me finger drum on my desk to create the tabla part. All parts were recorded and/or assembled in NanoStudio on the iPad.
