Heaton - Four Vignettes for flugelhorn and brass band (arr. Hindmarsh) by Paul Hindmarsh Music published on 2022-08-01T10:38:40Z A second version of Four Vignettes arranged form the music of Wilfred Heaton. In the early 1990's Wilfred Heaton composed a poignant little Berceuse for his grand daughter Emma to play on the clarinet. It is inscribed "In Memoriam Charlotte". She was Emma Stobart's sister who tragically passed away in her teens. Being so short, I have added another gorgeous Heaton tune for horn from his incidental music to the Pilgrim's Progress with brass band). The other two vignettes come from incidental music composed for Little Theatre productions in Sheffield from the immediate post war years. These were written for recorder. I have harmonised the second one, thinking that Heaton would most likely have improvised a piano accompaniment. It also works well unaccompanied.
