half a drone (disquiet0269) by Kurodama published on 2017-02-26T19:19:22Z This is half a duet. Recorded in one take, live, on my modular synth for the Junto project. More on this 269th weekly Disquiet Junto project, “Duet Portion: Record half of a live duet” at: http://disquiet.com/0269/ More on the Disquiet Junto at: http://disquiet.com/junto/ The track was intentionally made to be a bit empty, to leave room for a second half of the duet, yet to come. The pitches in this patch are mostly determined by an asynchronously running sequencer and triggered quantizer (every time the quantizer receives a note it samples the CV on the input and outputs a quantized note. Multiple envelopes (piqued app on the O_C module) shape the dynamics and timbre. As sound sources I used Braids, Edges and the Leaf Audio VCO-I. Filtering by the Woof VCF on the Colour Palette, wave shaping and mixing by Warps and delay by Chronoblob. Genre Electronic Comment by rupertlally Really nice work, Hannes! 2017-02-27T19:16:50Z
