I wanted to give the impression of New Years 1972 in this one. I wanted to both find a film that featured New Years party atmosphere (sans music.. a difficult thing to find I discovered) and the muffled sounds of a party experienced from outside while smoking a cigarette. It wasn't until my wife recommended the awful Peter Sellers shitsploitation film "the Party" that I found something close to what I was looking for. Really though... fuckkkkk that movie.
