Welcome to the SoundCloud Help Community – a place for the SoundCloud community to find answers to common questions, report bugs, exchange tips and support each other. We want this Help Community to be a place where everyone feels respected – it’s up to all of us to make that happen.
This page includes important information about our expectations of those using the SoundCloud Help Community. Please take the time to read carefully through this information. We take these guidelines seriously and expect you to do the same.
Supporting each other
This community is primarily a place for SoundCloud users to help each other. The majority of content provided within the community is created by other SoundCloud users – our moderators and headliners work hard to keep things on track, but we can’t guarantee the accuracy of information provided by others.
As a community, this space is not intended to provide individualized support. There are certain topics that require direct help, including; copyright, impersonation, abuse, account access, payments and refunds – if you need help with any of these topics, or have a question that requires you to share personal details, please visit our Help Center for further information. Most topics provide a contact button so that you can get in touch with our Community Support Team who are happy to help.
Everyone should feel safe while using the Help Community. To make this happen, we expect you to treat others with kindness and respect. As in everyday life, you might disagree with people. We understand this is part of supporting a vibrant and diverse community, but ask that disagreements remain civil, without resorting to hateful or otherwise controversial language. This applies to all interactions between members, but we expect you to be especially kind to our team, headliners and those who take the time to answer your questions. We have a zero-tolerance approach to abuse and harassment – if we believe that your content is abusive, we will remove it.
Remember that sharing personal or confidential information on a public forum is never a good idea – whether it’s yours or someone else's. We will remove all posts that contain this type of information.
We also expect you to respect the law – don’t share any content that infringes any copyright or trademark rights, is libellous or defamatory, pornographic or otherwise objectionable or illegal. If we receive reports that your content infringes someone’s rights or violates the law, it will be removed.
As a shared space, it’s up to all of us to keep conversations on-topic. We expect you to refrain from purposefully derailing conversations or posting information that isn’t relevant. We encourage you to share best practices and ask for advice, but this is not the place to promote your work or to ask people to follow you.
Be kind, be helpful and think before you post. We work hard to support this community and take users concerns seriously – if we believe that you’re violating the spirit of the Help Community, we will take action and remove your posts, or your account in cases of severe violations.
